We are monstrous beasts
like stunning shapes in
classical streets;
Yet we see fantastic
things and are moved
by love,
by land,
by sea.

  1. what kind of fantastic things do we see in the sea? and exactly how far in the water are we? is it over our heads like a tall palm tree, or is it somewhere beneath our teeming knees? regardless of sight, are your eyes open or closed? can you see three feet or even past your nose? are we well hidden here, or completely exposed? i suppose you chose to be here, and i hate to impose, but why do we swim and wear out our limbs when we could be sitting silent and reposed? instead we're still swimming and skimming the ocean floor, but swimming is brimming to the like of a chore. i admire your desire and need to explore, but how much longer until we reach the shore?!

    please tell me more.
